How Taylor-made HR begun
I spent many years working in-house as a senior HR Professional, which is where I gained my experience of the conveyancing industry, as well as many others! I founded Taylor-made HR in 2026, because I loved my time in conveyancing and also because I spotted a clear gap in the market: a HR consultancy that understands the pace, pressures and people dynamics of conveyancing.
About Zoe
I'm based in Northamptonshire, where I live with my partner and two mischievous dogs, Marley and Maisie.
When I’m not working, you’ll either find me somewhere in Cornwall exploring the seaside towns, reading, or doing anything creative - painting, drawing, making something crafty, you name it. I also love travelling, and recently visited the Galapagos Islands!
Professional Background
I’ve worked in HR since 2015 and my first 'proper' job after leaving university was working for a HR consultancy, supporting SME business in all different industries. I started out in recruitment before moving into a full-time HR role where I specialised in employee relations (all the tricky HR people issues). I loved the experience of diving into the tricky stuff, bringing messy people problems to a resolution.
Over the years, I’ve gone on to support businesses at a senior level, through everything from restructures to engagement initiatives. Along that journey, I found how much I enjoyed putting my creative brain to developing fun, engaging and impactful learning and development workshops, and bringing my energy to the room!
The industry I enjoyed working in most, was Conveyancing, whic is why my business now specialises in that industry. I loved the past paced environment, and ever-changing landscape and legislation of the conveyancing world - probably because it reminds me of HR!
My Qualifications & Memberships
Whilst my experience stands me in good stead, I’m also CIPD Level 7 qualified. This is the highest level of qualification you can achieve with the CIPD (the professional body for people working in HR), and in order to achieve it, I had to demonstrate my ability to plan and implement change at a senior level. I graduated with Commendation, the highest grade achievable.
I’m an accredited C-me Colour Profiling Practitioner, trained to help individuals and teams understand their behavioural preferences. I also a qualified mediator, with the Civil Mediation Council.
I’m also a trained Mental Health First Aider, and I’m active within the HR Inner Circle, which is a group for HR specialists with a particular interest in employment law.
